PAYMENTS
OBSIDIAN CA
ObsidianCA (Certificate Authority) enables local domestic schemes to provide payment alternatives.
If you want to run a national domestic payment scheme, you can still use the EMV® technology rails independently, but you need a strong EMV certificate management solution on top, to provide the root of trust in your scheme..
Obsidian: putting security at the heart of global payments
Obsidian sits at the heart of global payment infrastructure, whether on-premise or in the cloud, providing the complete package of issuer payment services.
Created by our technology masters to deliver sovereignty and flexibility in card issuance, Obsidian is accessed via one easy-to-use platform. It lets you pick and choose the modules you need, from card issuance or PIN management, through to transaction processing, key management and PCI compliance.
Whatever your role in card issuance, Obsidian has you covered.
Our technology masters have crafted easy-to-use software that:
- Allows central authorities to issue and manage CA and issuer certificates within a given region
- Helps onboard card issuers and payment processors to national payment schemes
- Can be tailored to specific requirements of regional or national schemes
Each Certificate Authority may have several self-signed CA certificates.
A Certificate Authority issues “Issuer Master Key” certificates using a specific CA key, and can be set up to be compliant with the likes of Mastercard or Visa. The compliance determines which formats are used for data exchange with other systems.
We’ve designed ObsidianCA to manage all certificate related tasks:
- Lifecycle management of EMV® Issuer CA certificates
- Issue certificates
- Export certificates
- Revoke certificates
- Certification authority CRL (Certificate Revocation List)
- Issuer CRL (Certificate Revocation List)
EMV® is a registered trademark in the U.S. and other countries and an unregistered trade mark elsewhere. The EMV trademark is owned by EMVCo, LLC.
